One classic and beloved American recipe is for Hamburgers. Here's a simple recipe for making delicious homemade burgers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat for juicier burgers)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Toppings of your choice (lettuce, tomato, onion, cheese, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the Grill or Pan:

    • If using a grill, preheat it to medium-high heat. If using a stovetop pan, set it over medium-high heat.
  2. Form the Patties:

    • Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions.
    • Gently shape each portion into a patty, being careful not to overwork the meat.
    • Season each patty with salt and pepper on both sides.
  3. Cook the Patties:

    • Place the patties on the grill or in the pan.
    • Cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side for medium-rare burgers, or longer if you prefer your burgers more well-done.
    • If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty about a minute before they are done and cover to melt.
  4. Toast the Buns:

    • While the burgers are cooking, cut the buns in half and toast them on the grill or in a toaster until they're lightly golden.
  5. Assemble the Burgers:

    • Place each cooked patty on the bottom half of a bun.
    • Add your favorite toppings – lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, condiments, and any other toppings you love.
    • Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. Serve and Enjoy:

    • Serve your homemade burgers hot and enjoy with your favorite sides, such as fries, coleslaw, or a salad.
